"Barn Burning" by William Faulkner

  1. I like how you made the connection between modernism and the broken society. I have seen a few poems that relate to this characteristic. Your poem is similar to mine in that it includes a sort of "pulling through the tough times" at the end. Good job!

  2. Something that stood out to me was the connection you made between society and Modernism. Ours differed in that, since mine didn't have much of a connection to that. But ours were similar in that yours had hints of counterculture.

  3. One thing that our poems had in common were that they both had a sort of "broken society" which was a big thing during the modernism time period.

  4. I like how you compared you story's hero to normal heroes.

  5. Modernism writing has many different aspects, and our stories were two of the opposite ends of the spectrum. My poem was more influenced by the Harlem Renaissance, while your story had many traditional Modernism writing characteristics. Your video brought up many of those characteristics and related them to your story. Great Job.
